Environmental Alert Report is part of the Zimbabwean Elephant Coalition (ZEC), a coalition of organizations who are working to stop the export of 37 captured baby elephants in Zimbabwe to zoos in China and Pakistan. 

The coalition hopes to accomplish this in several steps: there is a pending lawsuit that is being supported, encourage Ecotourism to create jobs for Zimbabweans, address Human Wildlife conflict by introducing methods to deal with HWC such as constructing beehive fencing around crops and livestock and create wildlife corridors, and finally help organize and support a conference with Ministers, Parliamentarians and Chiefs to gain support for stopping the export if the lawsuit fails.

In addition, Environmental Alert Report and Sibanye Animal Welfare and Trust Conservancy are working to further education and promote methods for dealing with Human Wildlife Conflict. Donations to support this effort can be sent through Environmental Alert and will be sent directly to Sibanye to further support these and other efforts promoting the welfare of animals and wildlife in Zimbabwe.
